Dr. Ryan Hendricker
Midwest Ear, Nose & Throat is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Ryan Hendricker to our practice effective January 2011.
Dr. Ryan Hendricker was born and reared in Decatur, IL. He attended Olivet Nazarene University for undergraduate training majoring in biology and graduating Summa Cum Laude with departmental and university honors in 2001. Medical training commenced and was completed with honors at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria in 2005. While a junior medical student he was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, and graduated as a James Scholar, an honors research program within the University of Illinois. He then completed residency training in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio in 2010. Following residency training, Dr. Hendricker was named Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at The Ohio State University and was selected to complete a Laryngology fellowship, receiving advanced training in the management of voice and swallowing disorders.
Dr. Hendricker is excited to return to Peoria to practice full-spectrum otolaryngology. He has advanced training in care for the professional voice, endoscopic and open techniques for laryngeal surgery, and awake fiberoptic procedures. In addition to evaluation and management of voice and swallowing disorders, Dr. Hendricker's clinical interests include adult and pediatric general otolaryngology, surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases, endoscopic sinus surgery including balloon sinuplasty, pediatric and adult otology, and management of head and neck cancer.
Dr. Hendricker enjoys spending time with his wife Julie, and his two sons, Matthew and Bradley.
